It stars Uta, the world’s greatest singer, who sets out to sing in front of an audience of pirates, marines and all manner of fans. Although she has always concealed her identity, Uta’s voice is said to be so wonderful that it seems to come from “another dimension”. The world is waiting in anticipation of the first concert where he will appear in person in front of his fans. The story kicks off with the shocking revelation that Uta is the daughter of Shanks, a mysterious character who will be the talk of the town.
Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time’ is the fourth and final installment in the sci-fi saga known as The Evangelion Reconstruction. Written by Hideaki Anno, it was considered one of the best adult animated films of 2021, the year of its expected worldwide release. Misato and her anti-NERV group, Wille, arrive in a Paris reddened by nucleation. The crew of the Wunder ship lands in a containment tower with only 720 seconds to reset the city. When a horde of NERV Evas appear, the upgraded Eva Unit 8 must intercept them. Meanwhile, Shinji, Asuka and Rei prowl Japan.
The ‘Gods of Anime’ programme will end with the screening of Makoto Shinkai’s ‘The Garden of Words’. Released in 2013, this Japanese production was awarded Best Animated Film at the Fantasia Film Festival in Quebec (Canada). One rainy morning, a high school student practising to become a shoemaker skips class to go design shoes in a Japanese-style garden.
