1988. The AIDS epidemic had already reached Brazil, affecting the lives of hundreds of people from all social backgrounds. A wave of freedom produced by the democratization of the country after decades of dictatorship, stimulated a vibrant cultural scene and a flamboyant nightlife. However, those infected with the disease had no access to medication to fight for their lives. After losing several friends and colleagues to AIDS – and being diagnosed with HIV himself – FERNANDO, 29, a competent flight attendant, risks his job and his freedom to smuggle AZT pills into the country.
