A couple of American filmmakers retreats to the island of Fårö, where Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman once lived, in search of inspiration to write their next films. As the summer goes and their fascination with the island's mysterious landscapes grows, the boundary between fact and fiction soon blurs.
