Director and screenwriter Zora Rux studied at dffb and Columbia University and was a longterm collaborator of Swedish director Roy Andersson. Her short films have been screened at Palm Springs, Austin, Reykjavik, Talinn Black Nights. Her first feature film “Ich Ich Ich” / “Second Thoughts” was at the pandemic-shortlist of the Director’s Fortnight in Cannes 2020. The film premiered at Zurich Film Festival, was theatrically released throughout Germany and is available on Mubi. 

She is currently in post-production of her second feature film “Men Behind Famous Women” about men doing laundry, and writing the feature film “Girlsplaining” / “Männer und Kinder zuerst” about a world in which gender privilege is reversed. In the fall of 2023, she is an Artist in Residence at Goethe-Institut Villa Kamogawa in Kyoto.
