The twelfth edition of Curt Creixent will take place on June 22 and 23 in Valencia, as part of the Cinema Jove program. Registration for the activities is free and will open on June 15.
The event brings together filmmakers, students, and industry professionals for talks, debates, screenings, and mentoring sessions. Highlights include one-to-one meetings with producers and festival programmers, as well as pitching sessions for projects in the script stage and short films in post-production.
The program kicks off on June 22 in Room 7 of the Rialto with a morning pitching session at 11:00, where four projects will be presented to a panel of specialists. In the afternoon at 16:00, a second pitching session will focus on short films in post-production.
The day will end with a special screening at the Filmoteca Valenciana, featuring a selection of short films curated by the Gijón International Film Festival (FICX).
On June 23, the Gijón festival takes center stage. Its representative, Paula Sanjulián, will present the festival’s activities and later participate in a panel on the distribution of short films at international festivals, alongside organizers from other national festivals.
The morning will continue with individual meetings between filmmakers and programmers, giving creators the opportunity to present their work and connect with festival representatives.
In the afternoon, there will be a masterclass on financing short films through tax incentives, and the day will close with a private presentation of the Curts 2026 Volume 2 catalog, a selection of Valencian productions promoted for festival circulation.
All information about the activities and registration is available on the Curt Creixent website.
