Cinema Jove and València World Capital of Design 2022 present the exhibition ‘The festival in posters‘: a selection of 33 posters of the feature films, short films and web series of the Official Section screened during the festival in recent years.

This exhibition supposes a revaluation of the graphic piece that condenses the essence of each work which serves as a claim for the spectator. It will also be an opportunity to contemplate these designs outside the context of cinema, in a different environment that favors quiet observation.

‘The festival on posters‘ will open on June 15 at 8:00 p.m. at the Octubre CCC (Calle Sant Ferran, 12, València) and will run until July 20.

Also at Octubre CCC, on June 19 and 20, Cinema Jove will maintain the collaboration with the València World Capital Design with the cycle “Valencia Capital del Diseño”, where the following documentaries will be screened: ‘Making It’ (Tony Moorman, 2015 ), ‘El hombre que diseñó España‘ (Andrea G. Bermejo and Miguel Larraya, 2019), ‘The Happy Film‘ (Stefan Sagmeister, Ben Nabors, Hillman Curtis, 2016) and ‘The Proposal‘ (Jill Magid, 2018), all of them dedicated to the world of design in its different fields.

We recall that as a well-deserved tribute to the work behind the posters and the talent of its designers, Cinema Jove will award this year, for the first time in its 36 editions of history, the award for the best poster.
