Among the highlights are ‘Hundarna’, a Swedish drama about ambition and power inside a law firm, and ‘Das Manko’, a German comedy that satirizes bureaucratic absurdity and contemporary working culture. The section will also feature the Taiwanese stop-motion animated series ‘PaiPai’, the Canadian drama ‘Vitrerie Joyal’, and the Russian thriller ‘Hirurg’, centered on the black market for human organs.

Spain will be represented by ‘Sense FilTRES’, directed by Ainhoa Bolaños, Sandra Reina and Jiajie Yu Yan. The series explores different stories of teenage sexting and the new forms of connection shaped by digital platforms. One of its protagonists, played by Nico Ariso, is a 15-year-old trans boy at the beginning of his transition.

The section will also include short-form productions such as ‘Respire Fort’, a French dark comedy with retro-futuristic aesthetics about an accountant planning his suicide until he meets his neighbor.

A section focused on the industry

Beyond the screenings, Cinema Jove will host talks and round tables with industry professionals. Topics will include international co-productions, artificial intelligence applied to audiovisual creation, and new production models.
